After years of working in rural hospitals and finding continuing education difficult to find, attend and schedule. Melody decided to start offering local Advanced Life Support courses for her peers and coworkers. This was in 2010. She has continued to upgrade her instructor portfolio and now instructs all of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and ENA courses as well as many others.

Volunteers are what make a community feel like home.
Melody has volunteered as the breakfast program coordinator at her local public school. She also volunteers as a Camp Nurse at Cedar Ridge Camp in McArthurs Mills for the past 9 years, with many more years to come.
